Chili Roasted Cauliflower

Oven roasted vegetables is great as a side dish to chicken, lamb, or steak. In this case I have roasted cauliflower and red onions together with garlic, fresh ginger and chiliflakes. You can of course use other vegetables like red and yellow bell peppers, zucchini, broccoli, carrots etc so just use your imagination.


  • 1 kg Cauliflower
  • 2 Red onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 ½ Tsp Chili flakes
  • 3 Tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt



  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C
  2. Rinse the cauliflower and break it up in small florets
  3. Cut the onions in half. Cut each half in six pieces
  4. In a roasting pan, mix the florets together with the onion, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, salt and olive oil
  5. Roast until soft and browned, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
